This unit focus on understanding and applying relevant concepts, techniques, algorithms, and tools for the analysis, management and visualisation of data- with the goal of enabling discovery of information and knowledge to guide effective decision making and to gain new insights from large data sets.

Capstone project provides an opportunity for students to carry out a defined piece of independent research or design. In this lecture, I highlighted the overview of methods used in NLP, and discussed how user generated data on social media can be used for public health monitoring and surverllance using NLP.
